Terrestials in "La Eximisa" (Liaño)
April 2014. Installation, silkscreen on paper (10000 x 55 cm).
Exhibited: Body Talk, Changing Spaces (2014, Cambridge, UK), Altered States (2018, Sudbury, UK), Print as Object (2019, Oklahoma, USA).

A 10 meter screen-print was hung in the ruins of ‘La Eximisa’ (Liaño, Spain), a former mining complex of buildings which has been derelict since 1989. The print, that operates between the fractal pattern and baroque ornamentation, was generated from the mass duplications of a “selfie” and a physically repetitive exercise. Through its display, the piece makes direct connections to industrial technological development, aiming to link both piece and artist to their origins.
